How Can We Help You?

WHAT'S YOUR DREAM?

Refugees tell us, "I want to be a nurse." "I want to be a doctor." "I want to run my own business." "I want to be a teacher."
PO Box 21 can help you figure out how to make that dream come true.
Do you need a high school diploma? A college degree? A technical course?
We'll help you find the right path to your dream.

SCHOOL TOURS

PO Box 21 volunteers will go with you to explore schools and their programs. We will help you interpret the complexities of programs, applications, entrance requirements. PO Box 21 helped Sandra Nkenchor take a class at Great Bay Community College--we paid for her babysitter and driver!

TUITION

Tuition for college courses is high. But PO Box 21 has lots of generous donors. They are excited about helping courageous refugees to advance their learning and to reach for your dreams.
PO Box 21 will cover admissions costs, required fees and tuition for accepted candidates. This summer, we're sending Tara and Daamin, at left, to Camp Hale.

SCHOLARSHIPS

Refugees may not be eligible for college scholarships and the many scholarships non-profits offer until you get a Social Security number, until you can fill out a FAFSA, and until you are enrolled in a program. PO Box 21 bridges the gap between Zero Help and those scholarships.

PRE-REQUISITES

There are lots of costs before a student gets to class--admissions fees, transportation costs, uniforms, health insurance, eye glasses. Applicants may need certificates in something. PO Box 21 helps you pay for and plan for these challenging requirements.
PREPARING TO STUDY

How is your reading speed? How are your study skills? Can you type a paper on a laptop? Do you have a laptop?
Refugees may need help with English reading and writing and other study skills you will need to be a successful college student. PO Box 21 can help.
