In 2018, PO Box raised almost $25,000 to help refugees put their minds to work while they wait long months for asylum hearings.  Our barnsale last fall at Maggie and Boone Porter's house was a fabulous success.

In 2019, we hope to do it again.  This year, we want to send more asylum-seekers to community colleges, tech schools and nursing programs all over New Hampshire.

Emylene wants to study sociology.  Bienfait wants to learn about American banking and finance.  And refugee children want to go to Camp Hale on Squam Lake.

Our thanks to Mike Weaver of Belmont, Maryland, for a gift of five laptops, a vital learning tool for all of our students.  Gifts in kind are essential to PO Box 21.  Right now, we need plants for our perennial sale and camping equipment for two children.

Over 100 individuals and families have donated to PO Box 21.  Other have donated clothing, time, transportation, host homes, garden plants, yard sale goods, and encouragement.

In April 2019, PO Box 21 received a first grant from the NH Charitable Foundation.  We hope this is the first of many.
