What Is PO Box 21?
Who We Help​
PO Box 21 helps asylum seekers and recent asylees. Asylum seekers are refugees who were persecuted for religious, political or cultural reasons. They can't go home. They have come to the United States on foot, by boat or by plane.

What We Do
PO Box 21 provides scholarships for college and job training classes. We also pay admissions fees and help refugees prepare for school with eye glasses, high school equivalency, whatever they need to get into the school program of their choice.

Why Education?
While they wait for asylum hearings with Immigration and Custom Enforcement. asylum seekers cannot work. So why not study!

Tommy is an asylum-seeker from southern Africa. Her asylum hearing is not until August 2019.
Tommy has dreamed all her life of becoming a nurse.
PO Box 21 is sending Tommy to the Salter School of Nursing's Licensed Practical Nurse program. She's an A student!
